Mercedes-Benz will be refreshing its SUV portfolio beginning with next year, when the third generation of the M-Klasse is going to be premiered. The bigger brother of it, the GL-Klasse, will be revealed towards the end of 2012 and will basically retain its rough, boxy stance. The heavy disguise and the fake camouflage pieces mounted on certain parts of the car (like, for example, around the rear window) give the impression of a big, muscular and thirsty American truck and suggest the new GL might also grow a bit length, in order to make even more room for up to 7 passengers. The underpinnings and the interior will come straight from the new ML, with slight modifications expected in order to better differentiate one model from the other.
