SPY - 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Klasse
The new generation of the CLS-Klasse has entered in the last stage of the final experimental phase, before the car it's premiered this fall at Paris. Barely camouflaged prototypes still continue to show up on streets;this time, we get to see what seems to be the entry-level version of the new 4door coupe.
Conventional head- and tail lights, conventional fog lights(single ones, not double), low-diameter specification wheels and, all in all, a very clean design approach, with no further enhancements-this could possibly the basis model for the second generation of the popular CLS-Klasse.
In the higher trims, the car is expected to come packed full of the latest technology. Mercedes-Benz will also officially launch its most recent V6 and V8 units along with the new CLS. The AMG version will arrive in 2011 and will boast the new twin-turbo V8 unit, offered in two output choices:the standard 544 BHP one and the Performance Package one, delivering 571 BHP.
