Piece of crap or not: restyled 2011 B-Klasse (W 245) internal brochure leaked?
These days, certain scans showing a (possible) leaked internal brochure have been circulating on the web. Whether they are real or fake, it's still very hard to deliberate and give a solid answer. The images show a slightly revised 2011MY(Model Year) B-Klasse of the current generation. The headlights seem to have been (digitally) copy-pasted from the new R-Klasse, as well as the front bumper with its LED lamps installed and the exterior rearview mirrors. Other than these, no further visual changes. Apart from the photo itself, there's also a quite blurry and hard-to-decelate price list. Judging clearly and knowing that Mercedes-Benz will launch E-CELL versions for the A- and B- Classes this year, the pictured model could be real, as certain modifications are needed in order to make the car more easierly distinguishable throughout the lineup and freshen it a bit. Otherwise, if we think it makes no sense to (somehow) revamp the B-Klasse again when a new model will be launched in more or less than an year from now, then this so-called internal brochure is just a photoshopped crap, a poorly-made digital "opera". Moreover, the B-Klasse is not a long lifespan car such as the SL-Klasse (which will undergo another exterior/technical revamp this year) or the G-Klasse (which has been in service since 1979 and had to be periodically kept up-to-date) and thus, it does not necessarily need repeated more or less consistent facelift procedures.
For the time being, we tend to say a big NO to this possible cheap-looking fabrication, but who knows what has the outcome prepared in store for us?
