MERCEDES GP PETRONAS will use the pre-Spain single-seaters to compete at the upcoming weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. However, the team will adapt all the important updates prepared for Barcelona (like the new ventilation system for the engine) on the shorter-wheelbase cars. The decision to use the first W01 models is that they are far more suitable for the slow and curvy Monte Carlo track than the longer-wheelbase cars.
