After the brochure photos emerged, the first unofficial press images started to surface on various website over the internet. Obviously, the first technical information on the new CLS began coming out of the dark, too. One of the key points of the new CLS-Klasse is its engine lineup, which consist of the following powering units:
- CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, 204 BHP/500 Nm(beginning with March 2011)
- CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, 265 BHP/620 Nm(beginning with January 2011)
- CLS 350 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY, 265 BHP/620 Nm
- CLS 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY, 306 BHP/370 Nm(beginning with January 2011)
- CLS 500 BlueEFFICIENCY, 435 BHP/700 Nm(beginning with March 2011)
- CLS 500 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY, 435 BHP/700 Nm
- CLS 63 AMG, 544 BHP/800 Nm(571 BHP/900 Nm with the Performance Package)
The official press pack for the new CLS-Klasse could be released either tomorrow or on Monday, the 23rd August, while the public reveal will take place on the stage of the Mondial de l'Automobile 2010 in Paris, at the beginning of October.
