F1 Abu Dhabi - More Sunday Photos (MGP)

The last race of the 2010 Formula 1 season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, was an eventful experience for all the drivers involved. After yesterday's win, Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel became the youngest champion in F1 at the age of 23. On the other hand, Nico Rosberg finished the stage on an optimistic 4th position, that also brought him and to the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS team precious points. Michael Schumacher was less lucky and couldn't complete the race, as his car span off during the first lap. This led to Vitantonio Liuzzi's Force India-Mercedes single-seater hitting the MGP W01 #3 directly and literally mounting on it in a dramatic track accident that could have been fatal for the German champion. After early abandoning the Arabian GP and leaving the sight of the incident on his own feet, Schumi had to undergo a thorough medical inspection to make sure everything's OK. After a difficult year, the Brackley-based team classified 4th in the constructors' standings with a total of 214 points, ahead of Renault F1 Team on 5th. Nico brought home 142 points (7th place in the drivers' rankings), ahead of Michael, who scored 72 points (9th place in the drivers' rankings) throughtout the 19 races. Hopefully, the year to come will prove to be better for MERCEDES GP PETRONAS and thanks to the united effort of everybody, the team will fight for victory at each grand prix with the 2010 top contenders.
