F1 Sao Paulo - More Saturday Photos (MGP)

The qualifying session held yesterday on the Autódromo José Carlos Pace brought a lot of surprise in the final grid classification for today's race. Nico Hulkenberg, the young driver competing for the Wiliams-Cosworth Team, grabbed his first-ever pole position, beating far more skilled driver such as Red Bull's Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel or McLaren-Mercedes's Lewis Hamilton, who followed behind the German rookie. For MERCEDES GP PETRONAS, the wet conditions caused by the rainy weather at Sao Paulo were looking perfect for scoring a nice result, but once again, the intermitent problem that kept coming on and on for all the season - the abnormal cooling of the tyres and the technical inability of the drivers to get them back into the proper working temperature - prevented Michael and Nico from making a good impression. Rosberg's qualifying was over by the end of Q2, when he ranked 13th, whereas Schumacher gave all that he possibly could, but the end of the Q3 saw him finish on an inglorious eighth position on the grid.
