Philips DiamondVision: The end of the quest for the whitest halogen bulb

On Friday, I received a phone call from a friend saying that he found some Philips DiamondVision bulbs that seemed good for replacing the high beam OEM ones (H1), since he installed a Xenon kit for the low beam.

Since I am after for the whitest halogen bulbs in order to replace my low beam H7 bulbs (having already tried Philips BlueVision and PIAA Xtreme White bulbs), I started searching for the DiamondVision ones. It seemed strange to me since I hadn't seen them in the European website.

After a few minutes of google search, I discovered that they are not legal for use in EU and USA. This though doesn't mean that you cannot find them...! Thus, on Friday afternoon I already had a set of H7 DiamondVision bulbs.

They are rated at 5000ºK and they are indeed white!!! The big difference is not only visible by comparing the BlueVision bulb with the DimondVision one side by side, but also when driving the car.

To be honest, if you can take a close look at the headlights, there is still some colour difference between the low beam and the DRL LEDs, but IMO it doesn't look bad at all and also, a small colour difference is necessary in order to be a distinction between the two.
