Why NOT to replace the OEM DRL bulbs of your Insignia with PIAA 7443 27W/8W Xtreme White

In the very first post about alternatives for the OEM DRL bulbs, I mentioned that those bulbs could be either replaced by PIAA Mirror White T20 double 580 large capless 27/8w (stock code H366) bulbs or by LEDs.
Checking out the PIAA website, PIAA 7443 Miniature Xtreme White bulbs are now available. Well, no matter which PIAA 7443 27/8W bulbs you are considering to use, please be aware that it is NOT recommended.
A member of Insignia Club in Greece has done it and he noticed that the upper part of the DRL reflector has melted. This is even more worrying if you consider that the car had very little use with the PIAA bulbs.
I believe that this due to the power difference, as the OEM bulbs are 21/5W, while th PIAA ones 27/8W.
Also, another interesting issue is that even with the PIAA bulbs, there is warning in the dash about the bulbs (same as with the LEDs).

UPDATE:
Except the PIAA bulbs, do NOT use any other aftermarket 21/5W halogen bulb, since there are some with whiter light, since you can end up again with the same problem... it happened.
